Zvenigorod is one of the oldest cities in the Moscow region. Archaeological data testify to the presence of a fortified settlement on the site of the Zvenigorod settlement, starting from the second half of the 12th - early 13th centuries. In Zvenigorod there is an ancient monastery founded by St. Savva, a disciple of Sergius of Radonezh, who received the status of a Lavra - the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery. The city has many beautiful old wooden houses with carved architraves, sights and museums that carefully preserve the traditions and cultural and historical heritage of Russia. Foreign students of Moscow State University took a bus tour on April 10 and learned a lot about the oldest city in the Moscow region, and also plunged into its unforgettable atmosphere!
